In this preliminary work, we address a series of unpublished photographs of Operation Independence in the town of Santa Lucia, and the base that functioned as a clandestine detention center. In crossroads with other documentary sources, we place the context of production and circulation of these photographs and we propose that these images are a testimony of the violence that shaped all life in these towns of southern Tucumán, and they bring us closer to the context of political violence and violence. the forced disappearance of people.
