Experticia: desarrollo de estrategias para el aprovechamiento racional de la biomasa y la obtención de bioproductos con potencial aplicación en las industrias cosmética y alimenticia mediante alternativas sostenibles. Campos de acción: Química orgánica de productos naturales y sintéticos. Biocatálisis y biotransformaciones con microorganismos. Agricultura celular. Fitoquímica. Desarrollo y caracterización de formulaciones alimenticias con alto valor agregado a partir de materias primas de origen regional.Competencias: Cultivo in vitro de microorganismos y líneas celulares vegetales. Técnicas de purificación (extracción, destilación, recristalización, cromatografía en columna). Técnicas analíticas separativas (cromatografías en capa delgada, cromatografía de gases, cromatografía líquida de alta eficacia).
