Desarrollo tareas de investigación tendientes a estudiar la interacción microbioma vegetal - metabolitos secundarios vegetales. En particular, las actividades se enfocan en estudiar el microbioma de manzano y su relación con la producción de compuestos polifenólicos por ser metabolitos beneficiosos para la salud y su potencial para el desarrollo de alimentos funcionales. Las técnicas metodológicas que se emplean para tal fin incluyen técnicas dependientes e independientes de cultivo (metagenómicas), herramientas de bioinformática y estadísticas y técnicas analíticas para la detección y cuantificación de metabolitos secundarios vegetales. Asimismo, colaboro con tareas de investigación en el área de la Fitopatología y sanidad de cultivos frutícolas de la región del Alto Valle y Valle Medio del río Negro contribuyendo al estudio y caracterización de los agentes etiológicos (bacterianos y fúngicos) que afectan a diferentes especies vegetales empleando técnicas microbiológicas, bioquímicas y moleculares. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
