Dr. Peláez studied chemistry at the University of Córdoba, where he completed his PhD in 2006. He performed some research at the National Syncrotron Light Laboratory (Brazil-2000) at the Chemical Research Center (Hungary-2001) and at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Hungary-2003). In 2007, receive a Special Mention to the Quality of Doctoral Thesis, prize awarded by the SAIQO. He carried out his post-doctoral studies firstly at the same university (2007-9) and later (2011-12) at Unive... Dr. Peláez studied chemistry at the University of Córdoba, where he completed his PhD in 2006. He performed some research at the National Syncrotron Light Laboratory (Brazil-2000) at the Chemical Research Center (Hungary-2001) and at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Hungary-2003). In 2007, receive a Special Mention to the Quality of Doctoral Thesis, prize awarded by the SAIQO. He carried out his post-doctoral studies firstly at the same university (2007-9) and later (2011-12) at University of Coimbra-Portugal. Dr. Peláez was appointed as Assistant Researcher of the National Research Council of Argentina (CONICET) in 2009. Subsequently, he was promoted to Adjunct Researcher in 2013 and to Independent Researcher in 2019. In April 2025, he has been distinguished with the ?María Cristina Giordano? Award in its 10th Edition, granted by the Argentine Association of Physicochemical Research (AAIFQ). His research aims to develop new tactical approaches in the synthesis, spectroscopy, kinetics photochemistry and thermolysis of heterocycles functionalized with halogenated groups.
