The article analyzes the trajectory of the Tucumán branch of the General Confederation of Labor between 1943 and 1949. In this framework, it observes the union practices, the political projections and the internal conflicts that crossed the entity, taking into account the specific plots of provincial unionism. . In particular, it questions the transformation process introduced by the emergence of the Tucumana Workers' Federation of the Sugar Industry (1944) in the course of the CGT, the disputes between the different union actors to define the course of the central and its projections. in the party-political arena. From a provincial space, it seeks to contribute to the debate on the role of the workers' union during the first Peronism and problematize, from a reconstruction of the conflicts and uncertainties that shaped its course, the interpretations that defined it as an appendage of the national executive power.Key Words
