We analize a simple model of opinion dynamics in which a two-state agent voter model evolves under the influence of a periodic signal and some stochastic noise which mimics a social temperature. The agents may adopt decisions between two possibilities, according to the voter model with a varying probability. The external force represents the influence of propaganda. By means of computer simulations we have shown influence of social contagious and external propaganda, finding a stochastic resonance-like phenomenon when we depict the noise-to-signal ratio as a function of the social temperature. In addition, we have also studied the effects of the subyacent lattice and the contagious probability on the opinion formation dynamics. Comparison with real data from surveys is also taken into account.
