Infestation of torrent catfish (Siluriformes, Trichomycteridae) by an exotic crustacean (Copepoda, Lernaeidae) in Andean Mountains of Argentina

We report the presence of a copepod, Lernaea cyprinacea (Crustacea), affecting three adults (48.1-54.1 mm SL) of torrent catfish Trichomycterus corduvensis (Siluriformes) in Los Bretes a tributary of the San Juan River from southern of South America. The ectoparasites were attached to opercular, pectoral, and abdominal region.
