Security tests are essential for the development of high quality mobile applications and to increase user?s trust in today's applications. The goal of this paper is to analyze the intervention of security tests for mobile applications in order to characterize techniques, tools and methods from the point of view of researchers in the context of theoretical and applied research. To do so, the method used was a systematic mapping study of security testing for mobile applications. There were 13 studies with pertinent information about security testing for mobile applications identified, resulting in the identification of processes, techniques, models, methods and tools used in security testing of mobile applications.
