Resumen *

This 3rd Edition of the World Atlas of Desertification (WAD3) takes a track that is fundamentally different. Rather than offer a single prescribed ?model,? it provides users, in this printed copy and gradually online, access to a variety of different global data sets, which can be explored and combined. Users can select and combine data sets in whatever way they choose based on their insights and local knowledge. This approach is complementary to the new Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) paradigm for addressing the challenges of desertification, which calls on countries to achieve or exceed no net loss with respect to future degradation ? a challenge that requires the dynamic access to data that WAD3 has aspired to.Participé como miembro del Advisory Committee y como Lead Author en los siguientes apartados: -Case study: Industrial cultivation takes over dryland forests-Successful partnership across political, scientific and technological sectors in Argentina Información suministrada por el agente en SIGEVA
