Spring in La Plata is characterized by a progressive increase in temperature, solar irradiance, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation dose, factors that affect both energy efficiency and public health. This study analyzes data collected between October 25 and November 16, 2025, from the Gonnet meteorological station of the LAyHS-FAU-UNLP (UNLP network, Davis Weather Pro equipment), aiming to evaluate the correlation between outdoor temperature, UV dose, and solar energy measured in kWh/m². Results show very strong correlations among the three variables: R^2=0.997for UV vs. solar energy, R^2=0.978for UV vs. temperature, and R^2=0.983for solar energy vs. temperature. These relationships confirm the physical coherence between solar radiation and environmental conditions, supporting predictive models of energy efficiency during spring. The study also discusses the implications of UV radiation for the Argentine population, considering the diversity of skin phototypes—from very fair skin in European descendants to darker tones in mestizo and Afro-descendant populations—and the elevated risk of skin cancer associated with unprotected exposure. By integrating science, energy, and health, this work proposes a transdisciplinary approach that links engineering, architecture, and medicine to understand spring as both a period of risk and opportunity.
