Resumen

The Assises de Jerusalem constituted the group of laws that operated in the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. Within this legal corpus, the Assises de la Cour des Bourgeois regulated the social relations from those free men which were not part of the nobility. The study of this normative section is central for the understanding of the society created by the franks in Outremer after the conquest of Palestine and the foundation of the crusaders states during the Crusades. Regarding the institutional developed of medicine, there are specific chapters in this section which offer information about the production and circulation of medical knowledge and practice. In these sense, in our investigation we analyze this source to deepen our knowledge about the work of those that acted as doctors in the Latin East and the appropriation of medical knowledge in the East Mediterranean.
