In the present paper we describe 57 lepidoptera recorded in five protected areas located in the Andean and High Andean regions northwest of Mendoza province. Aspects of their behavior, morphology, time of year in which they were sighted, height above sea level, and ecological relationships with the flora, whether native or exotic, are included. We also mention new records in the province for Battus polydamas, Tatochila orthodice, Strymon oribata, Hemiargus hanno, Pampasatyrus gyrtone, Hylephila...
