The article aims to critically reflect on the tense relationships and challenges related to scientific research and management practices in the field of anthropology. Considering that this topic is an area of vacancy and that experiences related particularly to public management in the field of culture are usually omitted in our production, we ask ourselves: what role does anthropology play with and beyond the academy, but also , when entering other fields with different actors?, to which I wou... The article aims to critically reflect on the tense relationships and challenges related to scientific research and management practices in the field of anthropology. Considering that this topic is an area of vacancy and that experiences related particularly to public management in the field of culture are usually omitted in our production, we ask ourselves: what role does anthropology play with and beyond the academy, but also , when entering other fields with different actors?, to which I would add, how to transfer the modus operandi acquired through disciplinary training and scientific habitus (in those who embody it through the assumption of norms, practices, games of meaning ) towards the world of institutions, management and even the context of public policies? The methodology used is qualitative and ethnographic, particularly in the second topic of the text where we work on the role of the anthropologist through the House of Culture of the neighborhood / town 21- 24 of the city of Buenos Aires. The results are the product of multiple interpellations generated around the management experiences we have gone through and the academic research presented.
