In 1926, Dr. Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane (1867-1954), as a member of Consejo Nacional de Educación (CNE), was appointed to make an inspection tour of the schools located in Southern National Territories. We argue that Elvira’s report, which was published in national newspapers and approved by the CNE first and then censored, generated tension in the agency since it questioned the work of the body of male inspectors, precipitating the resignation of the member.
