Indigenous women as a subject of government policy is a recent phenomenon at the Latin American level and more linked to the neoliberal reforms of the 1990s, although there are previous antecedents that date back to the 1950s. In this article we provide a brief overview of some public policies aimed at indigenous women in Latin American countries and in Argentina framed in a periodization and differentiation of the approaches of indigenist policies. For this, we base ourselves on the analysis of information extracted from specialized bibliography, from notes published in the media and on observations made in the framework of our investigations.Palabras Clave
