Colonial occupation in northwest of Puna de Jujuy (current Santa Catalina and Rinconada Departments, Province of Jujuy, Argentina) was consolidated in the 18th century through mining and ranching ventures. In this paper we analyze the internal configuration of a Hispanic ranch in which these activities were carried out, based on the integration of archaeological records and written sources.
