Resumen *

This work aims to explore the feasibility of using da/dt vs C* to describe the crack growth kinetic of a polymeric material that displays an inherently viscous behavior under secondary creep conditions. The analysis is carried out on a commercial acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) grade polymer at 60 and 80°C. This material has been chosen since it displays a high tendency to creep together with a nonlinear-elastic-plastic mechanical behavior, making it non-compatible with K or J?based analysis under static long-term loading.
