He is an International Fellow of the AHA and the AASLD. His primary interest is Systems Biology of the Metabolic Syndrome components, such as hypertension, obesity, Type 2 diabetes, and fatty liver, with several national and international awards and more than 220 publications in PubMed about Genetics, Epigenetics, Metabolomics, and Pathophysiology of these cardiometabolic diseases (Hindex:65). He was responsible for creating the first Center of Excellence in Translational Medicine in Argentina and is serving as a Reviewer and Editor of several International Journals.
