Me especializo en calidad del agua y el estudio de los protistas que la habitan. He trabajado a campo y laboratorio arroyos naturales y artificiales, en ecotoxicología. Domino técnicas de caracterización de calidad de agua (características físicas y determinación de nutrientes, material particulado, DBO5, DQO, etc) y actualmente mi grupo de trabajo ha presentado un STAN para evaluar la calidad del agua de lagunas artificiales aplicando este conocimiento. Mi trabajo de doctorado y mi actividad docente en la asignatura Biología de Protistas desde 2009, me permitieron dominar técnicas de muestreo, aislamiento, cultivo, e identificación de protistas (autótrofos y heterótrofos), además de técnicas que permiten estudiar su ecología (determinación de parámetros estructurales y funcionales). También me especializo en el uso de un fluorómetro PAM que permite estudiar la performance fotosintética de productores. Mi objetivo es en encontrar soluciones ecológicas a problemas humanos relacionados con el tratamiento y depuración del agua para mejorar el estado de las cuencas superficiales. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
