En el Laboratorio de Péptidos Bioactivos (FBCB-UNL), el foco principal es el estudio de la potencialidad de las pieles y secreciones glandulares de especies de anfibios anuros como fuentes potenciales de péptidos terapéuticos, principalmente en el tratamiento de enfermedades neurodegenerativas. Mis tareas combinan estrategias metodológicas propias de la química de estos compuestos junto con diferentes ensayos biológicos, e incluyen: análisis cromatográficos mediante TLC y HPLC, purificación de extractos, ensayos enzimáticos, bioautografía, pruebas de hemólisis y síntesis de péptidos en fase sólida mediante química Fmoc a partir de las secuencias aisladas. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
