La carrera científica desarrollada se ha orientado a resolver problemas vinculados con el recurso agua, especialmente aquellos relacionados con ambientes de llanura. La línea de investigación impuesta ha permitido realizar aportes originales y de reconocida jerarquía al conocimiento hidrológico a nivel nacional e internacional.Su línea de investigación y docencia se relaciona fundamentalmente con la temática hidrológica ambiental, en especial con evaluación de aguas subterráneas, aguas superficiales, riesgos hídricos y costeros. Su experiencia en este tema se relaciona con diferentes regiones de la mayor parte de las provincias argentinas, Latinoamérica y varios países de la Unión Europea.Los resultados de la investigación permitieron cuantificar los procesos hidrológicos, que son fundamentales en el cometido de alcanzar un uso sostenible de los recursos. Ello posibilita además el desarrollo de modelos aptos para la predicción del comportamiento del sistema en situaciones normales o extremas, tanto en su condición natural como afectado por las actividades antrópicas. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
