Durante mi desarrollo profesional como bióloga he trabajado en distintas áreas de la Botánica. En los primeros años realicé estudios eco-fisiológicos en pastos y arbustos del Monte Patagónico analizando el efecto del pastoreo. Luego incorporé herramientas morfológicas, citogenéticas, biogeográficas, filogenéticas, genético-demográficas y de biología computacional en estudios de Sistemática Molecular en plantas vasculares con distribución sudamericana, empleando un enfoque taxonómico integrador....
Durante mi desarrollo profesional como bióloga he trabajado en distintas áreas de la Botánica. En los primeros años realicé estudios eco-fisiológicos en pastos y arbustos del Monte Patagónico analizando el efecto del pastoreo. Luego incorporé herramientas morfológicas, citogenéticas, biogeográficas, filogenéticas, genético-demográficas y de biología computacional en estudios de Sistemática Molecular en plantas vasculares con distribución sudamericana, empleando un enfoque taxonómico integrador. Estas investigaciones requirieron realizar trabajo de campo (muestreos en poblaciones naturales y en vivero), de herbario (curado de especímenes), como así también de laboratorio (extracción de ácidos nucleicos y amplificación de marcadores moleculares nucleares y de cloroplasto mediante PCR). Durante los últimos años he realizado análisis de perfiles transcriptómicos e identificación de genes expresados diferencialmente en árboles nativos de los bosques andino-patagónicos, capacitándome en el uso de herramientas bioinformáticas para el análisis de datos de secuenciación masiva.
