Microbiología: técnica aséptica, aislamiento (de muestras ambientales) y cultivo bacteriano, determinación de actividades metabólicas relacionadas con la biorremediación y promoción del crecimiento vegetal. Biología molecular: extracción y cuantificación de ADN y proteínas, PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, electroforesis (agarosa y SDS-page), Western blot. Cultivo celular: manipulación de líneas celulares de piel. Operación de equipos de laboratorio: HPLC, destilador Kjeldahl, espectrofotómetro, autoclave, centrifuga, incubadora, cabina de bioseguridad, flujo laminar y cámara de cultivo. Microscopía: de campo claro y epifluorescencia, microscopía de fluorescencia de hoja de luz (LSFM). Diseño, procesamiento de imágenes y geoespacial: manejo de softwares AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, SketchUp, FIJI (ImageJ), ENVI, ArcView GIS. Análisis de datos: gestión y procesamiento de datos mediante Excel, InfoStat, y SYSTAT, producción de resultados numéricos y gráficos. Competencia en TICs.
