Durante la tesis doctoral Potencialidades funcionales de especies vegetales que crecen en la Puna Argentina, adquirí experiencia en el manejo de técnicas químicas de separación e identificación de metabolitos, ensayos biológicos utilizando microorganismos patógenos humanos, fitopatógenos y hongos. Durante 2 estadías de investigación en la Univ. de Washington, USA y en el Inst. Leloir, Bs As adquiri experiencia en el modelo Caenorhabditis elegans. Luego de doctorarme, realice un posdoc en la Univ de Goettingen, Alemania, aprendi y fortaleci conceptos de biologia molecular y otros modelos in vivo. Ya en Argentina, como investigadora de CONICET logre establecer la linea en un laboratorio en formacion usando C. elegans como modelo de infeccion, con microorg. patogenas humanos. De 2021-23, realice una estadia en el Worcester Polytechnic Institue, en USA estudiando la respuesta nerviosa y epigenetica transgeneracional del nematodo infectado con C. albicans. De vuelta a Argentina continuo con mi linea de busqueda de metabolitos con actividad antimicrobiana usando el modelo de C elegans.
