Desarrollo y caracterización de materiales a base de polímeros biodegradables y de origen renovable, principalmente almidón y poli(hidroxialcanoatos) y residuos agroindustriales. Obtención de biomateriales empleando diferentes tecnologías de procesamiento (casting, mezclado en fundido, termocompresión e inyección). Optimización de formulaciones y condiciones operacionales de procesamiento térmico de biopolímeros. Caracterización estructural y determinación de las propiedades finales de biomateriales.
