El campo de investigación es la aplicación de la nanotecnología como herramienta para generar terapias alternativas contra las infecciones bacterianas. El cual tiene como objetivos 1) diseñar nuevas estrategias para sintetizar nuevos nanomateriales biocompatibles antibacterianos 2) generar nuevos agentes para su posterior aplicación en terapia fototérmica3)dilucidar el mecanismo de acción de los nanomateriales que desencadenan inactivación bacteriana 4) aportar herramientas al área de la biotecnología buscando aumentarla efectividad de las terapias antibacterianas y 4) desarrollar estructuras nano microestructuradas que inhiban la formación de biofilms lo cual se sabe las hace más resistentes a el uso de antibióticos. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
