Evaluamos los efectos de 4-metilumbeliferona (4MU) sobre el perfil peptidómico, metabolómico y el microambiente tumoral en oncohematología y neurooncología. En dichas patologías hemos reportado que 4MU modula diversos procesos biológicos asociados a la resistencia inmune y terapéutica favoreciendo la respuesta anti-tumoral y la sensibilización a drogas de primera línea. Utilizando técnicas de peptidómica y metabolómica, se busca identificar los cambios moleculares inducidos por 4MU y comprender sus mecanismos de acción. Asimismo, no sólo nos enfocamos en el potencial reposicionamiento de 4MU, sino que también pretendemos hallar biomarcadores y desarrollar aplicaciones mediante machine-learning, basadas en los perfiles peptidómico y metabolómico, que puedan ser utilizados para la detección temprana del cáncer y para predecir la respuesta al tratamiento. Esta dualidad en el enfoque permite no sólo avanzar en el conocimiento sobre 4MU y su impacto en cáncer, sino también trasladar estos hallazgos al ámbito clínico, mejorando las herramientas disponibles para el manejo de la enfermedad. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
