A lo largo de mi carrera académica he desarrollado varias investigaciones enfocados al bienestar de animales desde un punto de vista fisiológico. El estrés oxidativo es una manera de determinar el estado de un organismo frente a distintos agentes estresantes, ya sean naturales o antropogénicos, como ser la anoxia, presencia de metales, eutrofización, entre otros.
