Prof. Marisa Elisabet Sponton is a Professor at National University of the Litoral (UNL), and a Researcher at the Institute for the Technological Development of the Chemical Industry (INTEC, CONICET?UNL), Santa Fe, Argentina. She has wide experience in organic chemistry, polymers, and materials science, with a strong background in the design, synthesis, and characterization of functional monomers and prepolymers for the development of tailor-made advanced polymeric materials, with particular emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility.Her current research activities include: - Renewable-based epoxy, benzoxazine, and urethane resins for advanced applications such as heat-resistant and flame-retardant materials, silicon- and phosphorus-containing monomers. - Flame-retardant nanoparticles and nanomaterials. - Carbon Nanomaterials based on polybenzoxazines, and flame-retardant solid electrolytes for next-generation energy storage devices. *Información suministrada por el agente en SIGEVA
