Mi actividad se enfoca en investigar mecanismos moleculares asociados a enfermedades humanas -particularmente cáncer de mama- integrando datos multi-ómicos y experimentación funcional. Buscamos partir de preguntas clínicas, realizamos análisis bioinformáticos sobre datos epigenómicos, genómicos y transcriptómicos, y luego validamos hipótesis en modelos celulares -por ejemplo editados por CRISPR-. Mi actividad se enfoca en investigar mecanismos moleculares asociados a enfermedades humanas -particularmente cáncer de mama- integrando datos multi-ómicos y experimentación funcional. Buscamos partir de preguntas clínicas, realizamos análisis bioinformáticos sobre datos epigenómicos, genómicos y transcriptómicos, y luego validamos hipótesis en modelos celulares -por ejemplo editados por CRISPR-. Desde 2011 coordinamos un servicio para la detección de alteraciones genéticas y epigenéticas en diversas patologías, brindando asistencia a varias provincias del país. Nuestro enfoque busca combinar herramientas computacionales y experimentales para abordar desafíos clínicos desde una perspectiva traslacional.
