Dentro del desarrollo profesional me encuentro dentro del área de investigación de materiales, en particular geopolímeros y materiales cerámicos. El foco de mi investigación esta centrado en la incorporación de residuos agroindustriales como ser las cenizas de cascara de arroz dentro de la producción de estos materiales. Para el desarrollo de tal fin es necesario el conocimiento de varias técnicas de caracterización tanto de las materias primas como de los materiales en si. Dichas técnicas son técnicas analíticas avanzadas como microscopía electrónica de barrido (MEB), difracción de rayos X (DRX) y fluorescencia de rayos X, análisis térmico diferencial y termogravimétrico (ATD/TG),espectroscopia infrarroja IR, análisis de distribución de tamaño de partícula. Por otro lado, también es importante el manejo de técnicas para la evaluación de las propiedades mecánicas del materia, tales como el modulo de Young, modulo de ruptura, dureza Vicker, entre otros. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
