Durante estos cinco años ha estado trabajando principalmente en la función de la proteína precursora amiloide (APP) como una molécula de adhesión celular en el cono de crecimiento axonal y su papel en el neurodesarrollo. Además y en continuidad con el trabajo previo estudie el fenotipo y la funcionalidad de los conos de crecimiento de neuronas de ratón Ts65Dn (modelo de síndrome de Down) y, especialmente, neuronas proveniente de síndrome de Down fetal humano (DS). Entre las técnicas habituales utilizadas se incluyen cultivos primarios de hipocampo in vitro, bioquímica, sustratos de cultivos mono-específicos, y varios técnicas microscópicas, como RICM (reflexión interference contrast microscópico) y TIRF (total internal reflexión microscópico). *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
