Al trabajar como Ingeniero Operador en el Operador Nacional de Electricidad de Ecuador - CENACE, pude conocer con detalle todos los desafíos y complejidades que conlleva operar y gestionar un sistema eléctrico en tiempo real. Durante el desarrollo de mi tesis doctoral he plasmado todo este conocimiento laboral, junto con una extensa investigación del estado del arte, para desarrollar herramientas y algoritmos basados en técnicas de última generación con el fin de brindar soporte a la operación y alcanzar una serie de beneficios técnicos, económicos y medioambientales; facilitando de esta manera la transición hacia las futuras redes inteligentes conocidas también como redes activas de distribución
