I see myself as a behavioural neuroscientist. I work on understanding sleep and circadian rhythms, both in health and during bacterial infections. I study why we sleep, what happens when we do not get a good sleep and how sickness regulates sleep and activity. For that, I employ Drosophila melanogaster genetics, microscopy, neurophysiology, some microbiology and open source technologies to build new tools and search for new answers.I have and had the chance to work and learn from great scientis... I see myself as a behavioural neuroscientist. I work on understanding sleep and circadian rhythms, both in health and during bacterial infections. For that, I employ Drosophila melanogaster genetics, microscopy, neurophysiology, some microbiology and open source technologies to build new tools and search for new answers.I have and had the chance to work and learn from great scientist and leaders; I did my PhD with Fernanda Ceriani and a postdoc Marcelo Yanovsky, both in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Then I did two postdocs in London, UK, with Giorgio Gilestro and Marc Dionne. Currently I am part of Fernando Locatelli?s lab at IFIByNE, back in Buenos Aires. I learn from my mentors, and more from my peers and studentsOver the years, I got fellowships from CONICET for my PhD and first postdoc, an EMBO Long-Term fellowship and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships. For my return to Argentina I got funding from RAICES, CONICET and the IBRO Return Home Fellowship
