La línea propone contribuir al abordaje integral de jóvenes con potencial pérdida auditiva, incorporando desarrollos tecnológicos, audiológicos y sociales, que contemple los aspectos acústico, auditivo y psicosocial. Se trabaja en la construcción e implementación de una batería de pruebas subjetivas y objetivas. Se propone una evaluación integral y el análisis minucioso de los resultados de pruebas tradicionales y no tradicionales en la clínica audiológica. La finalidad es detectar los patrones de riesgo, indicadores subclínicos y síntomas subjetivos que favorecen al deterioro auditivo temprano en jóvenes. Avanzar en nuevas formas de explorar los mecanismos subyacentes de la audición y de incorporar instrumentos y pruebas de evaluación de la audición podrían contribuir a optimizar metodologías de diagnóstico.
