Mi desarrollo profesional se basó en la terapia génica neuroprotectora intracerebral para abordar patologías neurodegenerativas como la enfermedad de Parkinson y Alzheimer. Nuestro modelo es la rata hembra vieja de la cepa Sprague-Dawley, desarrollamos una plataforma tecnológica para construir vectores adenovirales de primera generación y de última generación (adenovectores gutless). Pusimos a punto la mofometría de las regiones cerebrales de interés utilizando métodos basados en la estereología.
