Caracterización citogenética y reproductiva de recursos genéticos vegetales, particularmente de gramíneas americanas con potencial forrajero y plantas nativas de interés ornamental. Citoembriología vegetal aplicada a la identificación de apomixis, fertilidad y de modos de reproducción vegetal, con énfasis en Paspalum (Poaceae). Estudio de híbridos inter e intraespecíficos de gramineas, naturales y sintéticos.
