Evalué la degradación de la materia orgánica contenida en el lixiviado de un relleno sanitario, empleando la arcilla de bauxita como un fotocatalizador heterogéneo. Esto se realizó en conjunto a través del programa internacional ASA, que contó con la participación de 3 investigadores de la Universidad del Valle (Colombia) y 2 investigadores de la TH Mittelhessen (Alemania). De este proyecto junto con mi trabajo de grado "Evaluación de la arcilla bauxítica como fotocatalizador heterogéneo en la degradación de materia orgánica presente en el lixiviado de un relleno sanitario de la región occidental de Colombia", se concluyó que la arcilla bauxitica tiene potencial para tratar este tipo de aguas residuales. Adicionalmente, he participado en calidad de monitor de investigación en otros proyectos tales como el "COLC CT-0389-2013 Secuestro y emisión de gases de efecto invernadero en humedales naturales estratégicos del Valle del Cauca" y el proyecto "Potencial de valorización energética y agrícola de la Fracción Orgánica de Residuos Sólidos Urbanos -FORSU". *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
