El trabajo principal es la caracterización cinética, regulatoria y estructural de enzimas y proteínas involucradas en el metabolismo del carbono y redox en bacterias, protozoos, algas y plantas superiores. Se establecen relaciones de estructura a función y evolución de las proteínas caracterizadas. El análisis comparativo de las propiedades de las proteínas permite proponer implicancias en el metabolismo en células autótrofas y heterótrofas. Los resultados se analizan para la mejor comprensión sobre la función y regulación de las proteínas en la célula y en el potencial uso de las mismas para resolver problemas de producción de biomoléculas. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
