Being one of the major agricultural producers in the world, agriculture generates enormous revenues for Argentina. However, it also produces large amounts of hazardous waste, such as agrochemical containers, that need to be specially treated in order to avoid potential environmental pollution. This paper deals with the optimization of a reverse logistic network for agrochemical containers in one of the main agricultural region of Argentina. the problem is modelled as a Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem and is solved with both exact and heuristic methods.
