It is mainly conceived for Earth Science professionals working in academia and industry, as well as Ph.D and Ms students and interested readers in general.This book is structured through a total number of 11 chapters, where the initialthree are focused on general aspects such as crustal density structure and mainsource areas of the sedimentary basins that characterize the Southern Andes through time, while the other eight analyze the structure and evolution of particular mountain sectors ordered from north to south. The book contains maps, schemes and cross sections that constitute up-to-date proposals that use previous and new datasets. Different sources are cited at the end of each chapter that can be used to expand particular points discussed in the book.
