Summary *

Ten carpal morphologies in anuran adults are defined on the basis of fusions of individual carpal elements; development sequences are described for three of them. The results show that adult carpal morphology in anurans is not a valid character in phylogenetic analysis since identical adult morphologies differ in the number of embryonal components that will constitute the ulnar, radial, and y element.   Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
