Traff ic psychology is not a well developed field in Argentina, neither professionally nor scientif ically. This situation can be explained by contextual factors, such as the preponderance of clinical psychology and a weak research tradition. Nonetheless, at present there is a great need for research in this area, and scientif ic developments are emerging. This presentation describes some of the research that is being undertaken by our team in Argentina, and analyzes the challenges and problems confronting this field of research.
