Sine-waves are commonly present in many engineering applications and accurate estimation of their parameters is a important field of research. Over the years, several time- and frequency-domain algorithms have been proposed to address this issue. The latter approach is often preferred in real-time applications since it provides accurate estimates with minimal computational effort. Being the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) the most well known and used processing algorithm, because have the advantages of robustness to signal model inaccuracies and low computational effort. Unfortunately, DFT based methods have inherent limitations referred to as the spectral leakage and picket fence effects due to asynchronous sampling. A procedure called interpolated discrete Fourier transform (IpDFT) is commonly used to compensate these two phenomena in practical applications. In this paper, the properties of eight IpDFT algorithms are studied with respect to their systematic errors and their noise sensitivity, to estimate the parameters of a real sinusoidal signal Information provided by the agent in SIGEVAKey Words
