This article proposes an analysis of the emotions portrayed in the travel diary of a young Polish Jewish woman, who managed to escape from Europe through Japan, and finally landed in Tucumán (Argentina), around the middle of 1941. The aim is to proceed in this topic which is still unexplored by local historiography during this period. The article focuses on the impressions shaped during her migration from the use of metaphors of nature. These devices are used to narrate pain, lack of freedom, fear and sadness in a context distinguished by the development of World War II and the rise of Nazism.Key Words
