This article examines, on the one hand, the theoretical contributions about feelings of belonging developed in the field of migration stud- ies and, on the other, the considerations of those who have explored these feelings of belonging regarding Argentine population residing in Italy. Based on an examination of the latter, a typology with the five interpretive trends identified is presented. In addition, the narratives of belonging gathered in a qualitative research conducted in the Veneto Region with 25 members of Argentine migrant families are displayed. The results of this research are contrasted with previous theoretical contributions and it is concluded that some social positions (such as migratory generation and age) and personal, social and cultural factors are crucial when narrating the feelings of socio-territorial attachment.Key Words
