Summary

In this paper, we use the theory of assemblages, proposed by Manuel DeLanda, and evaluate the potential of its implementation in the development of archaeological studies in the former Lastenia sugar mill. In order to study the factory from the mentioned theoretical proposal, some of the components that made up the productive unit were considered. This exercise allowed us to rethink theoretical aspects that we had been using for some time in our area of study and opened the doors to raise new questions and consider new lines of work that we had not visualized until now.
