The focus is, first of all, on the characteristics and capacities of materiality, which people establish particular relationships with, mediated by the technical act. The agricultural practice of three high valleys in northwestern Argentina is presented here as a study case, where people, productive structures, tools, plants, animals, knowledge and technical gestures are connected in transtemporal spaces and discourses.
