Results and discussion are presented in this paper of the analysis and identification of construction patterns in late eighteenth-century archaeological settlements in Puna de Jujuy, with the aim of expanding knowledge about building and inhabiting multiethnic settlements associated with mining and ranching. The sites studied are Antiguyoc and Quebrada del Maray 4, both located in the town of Antiguyoc, Rinconada, Jujuy Province. Architectural and spatial attributes associated with the architectural units and involved in the construction variability of the settlements were determined. Subsequently, variables and their grouping into categories were defined and used to construct an analysis matrix. Statistical processing was carried out by principal component analysis and multiple factor analysis. The results made it possible to identify the architectural variables that have the greatest incidence in the conformation of constructively homogeneous groupings, and to determine constructive patterns from their conglomeration. This enabled interpretations of the construction practices of the inhabitants to be proposed and established a comparative basis for future analyses of ways of building and living in contemporary settlements in the study area.Key Words
