Inrecent years, hydrogen oxidation reaction (hor) has gained technologicalinterest because it is involved in the anode of PEM fuel cells. As consequence, the kinetics parameters of the hor have been evaluated on severalsubstrates, but this reaction has not been studied yet on Rhodium. In thiscontext, the main objective of this work is to evaluate the kinetics parametersof hor on Rh nanostructured electrodes. As the theoretical formalism todescribe the kinetic behaviour of the hor was previously derived in ourgroup, it is possible to compare the experimental results with the theoreticalresponses. Thus, the hor was studiedon a rotating disc electrode of nanostructured rhodium supported on glassycarbon. The electrodic area was evaluated by CO stripping and the correlationof the experimental current-potential curves allowed the evaluation of thekinetic parameters of the Tafel-Heyrovsky-Volmer mechanism.
